School horses are the foundation of Westar Farms. They are gentle teachers, introducing new riders to the love of horseback riding, helping them develop confidence while learning new skills. Each horse or pony has their own personality and traits that make them loved and cherished by so many students.
During this unprecedented time, our farm, like so many other businesses, has closed to help reduce the spread of Covid-19. Our beloved school horses still need feeding, health care and grooming.
Whether you are a riding school student, horse enthusiast or animal lover in general, you can help by sponsoring one of our 19 wonderful schoolies for a month or more while we remain closed.
Suggested donation amount: $150 for feed and care for a month, though any amount is greatly appreciated.
For donations of $50 or more, you’ll receive:
- Weekly photos and videos of your sponsored horse or pony
- If you aren’t a Westar student, you’ll be invited to the farm once visitors are again allowed, to meet yourhorse and take photos with them.
- An invitation to one of our horse shows, to be held once quarantines and restrictions are lifted, where we’ll acknowledge and thank all the school horse supporters.
- A certificate of sponsorship
You can sponsor by:
- Sending us your name and contact info and we’ll provide instructions for e-transfer
- Letting us know the amount of your support, if you’d like it directed to a specific horse or pony and whether we can thank you publicly or if you’d prefer to remain anonymous.
We thank you and the schoolies thank you!
